Marlinga Receives UAW Endorsement

Carl Marlinga Formally Endorsed by UAW Region 1 

Utica, MI – The UAW’s Region 1 Macomb CAP Screening Committee has formally announced their endorsement of Carl Marlinga in his quest to represent District 10 in the Michigan State Senate.

In a letter to Mr. Marlinga, Joseph Peters, director, UAW Region 1, said, “The issues facing our local government are a direct reflection of the needs for working families. We continue to look forward to working with you on their behalf.”

Mr. Marlinga has had a long-standing, positive relationship with labor unions, and this endorsement reaffirms his position on the economy, education and environment. 

In response to Region 1’s support, Mr. Marlinga said, “I am please and delighted by the UAW Region 1 endorsement, and I look forward to working with them toward a common goal of putting Michigan back to work."

UAW Region 1, headquartered in Warren, Michigan, covers Huron, Lapeer, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, Sanilac, Tuscola and part of Wayne (including Detroit) Counties. Region 1 also includes the local Canadian UAW unions.
